This is a sizzling hot romantic suspence story. I loved it, the story is full throttle and the relationship between Claire and Michael is super hot and happens very quickly but is believable due to the intense nature of their meeting. This is an erotic story that tugs at the heart string and the suspense aspect is masterfully done and I love that Claire is not a wimp in anything and takes an active roll in everything. This is a blaze title so you know it is hot but this is super nova hot and then some.

This book sparkled from the first sentence. I admit I had my doubt about a vampire in his blood lust and a ghost but Ms. Kresley Cole made it work and did it beautifully. Conrad was was a hero to die for. His passion mixed with his innocence, his intelligence and his need to protect Néomi at all costs. How can I not fall for this man? By the end of the book I was like : " Back off, Néomi you small little useless ballerina. I am so taking your man and we will be married by tomorrow morning... I mean night, cause he is vampire ( duh, obviously! )" And since I am an unashamed lover of virgin male heroes in my eyes Conrad just got a little bit more perfect. If that is actually possible? The only other time that I felt this connection with a hero was when I read Untouched by Anna Campbell. How can I not love the virgin male heroes when they are the best lovers, in books that is. They are all passionate innocence and wish to make every moment special for their mate *I'm jealous once again* Still even as I sigh and drool, and sigh, and then drool some more over Conrad if it was just him Dark Needs at Night's Edge would most probably not make it to the 5 stars I give so rarely. Néomi, too was an amazing and I loved the fact that she is not ashamed of herself and the things she did. And the fact that she is open minded about her sex life help Conrad to not be ashamed of his untouched state. But the most important thing is though he and Néomi were both wonderful characters, the author managed to make me loved them as a couple too. Ms. Cole managed to make me believe in their future together and to suffer when they do. Dark Needs at Night's Edge definitely made it to my top 10 of this year and because of it I have set my sights on the series and will most probably read all the other books soon enough.

definite page turner, almost couldnt put it down. this is the prequel to The Enemy, set just a few weeks after the disease that turned everyone born 16 years ago and earlier into hungry zombies, always hunting the kids who werent affected by the disease. Kids meet, team up, and organize to fit off the enemy, always desperately scrambling to keep one step ahead of them, and find some kind of safe place to hide.
