Very good book. Set against the cultural revolution in China, this book traces two young men as they get "re-educated" in a remote village in China. Strong characters who show a good deal of complexity and a strong desire to remain their individualism in the face of such social upheaval. Shows the power of art to forever change lives. Sijie writes about literature with such love and devotion, it is impossible not to want to re-visit, or visit for the first time, the wonderful writers he uses to inspire his novel's characters. Concise and powerful, this novel is well worth your time.

What annoyed me about this book is that the subtitle: Real Women Write About Real Sex is somewhat misleading. The essays aren't all real! I honestly can't even remember a piece that I read. Pretty disappointing, to be honest.

Simply amazing and evocative of the 1970s. I have never listened to her music, but her memoir of her struggles as an artist and the partner to an artist is amazing.

The first book I ever loved. At age 10 I learned what it is to cherish a book.

This is a really nice piece of fiction. It brings up questions about the nature of love, time and how we fit into our own lives. It's a quick read and leaves you satisfied.

How could the woman not be dead? For that matter, how could she be pulled from a burning building and not have any burns on her body? It's puzzling, bizarre. No one would ever believe it in a million years, and yet, there Marc was, staring in amazement and wondering. Then he's face to face with Willow, actually...talking to her? It's a strange world. The premise of this is really intriguing, and the first chapter was definitely a catchy eye opener. However, fiction or not, paranormal or not, I did feel that Marc jumped the gun too soon in wanting to take Willow to bed. That is a bit beyond the realm of believability for me. The author has created a unique plot and storyline that drew me in. The dialogue witty and fun, lots of suspense and intrigue. If you like paranormal reads, then you may want to check out Leanne Will's Playing with Fire. I enjoyed it and would look at other works by this author.

This is one of the books Donald Maass uses as an example in his *The Fire in Fiction*. In 2010, I made a new year's resolution to read all of them. That was before I realized how many there were! So, it has become my on-going project! Review: Powerful book, unusual style. I recommend it for authors who want to improve their craft. Read it, study it. See how a master works the "show, don't tell" rule.

This book really showed what's best about humanity. The author's journey has all the compassion, thrills, worldly concerns and beauty of life all wrapped up in one biography about (when it comes down to it) what he loves in this world. I'm pretty sure that I'd recommend Little Princes to anyone. This review will not do it justice.

Excellently written. Loved the fairy tale type feel of the story. Beautiful!
