Voxels Voxels _ — This was a great book, with great writing style and great characters. Michaels did a particularly good job of giving each of the heroes a clear voice. Matt was really snarky and Evan was really grounded. The kids were written well, as were all the other secondary characters. I was invested in this story and enjoyed the ride. This was a fun read and I look forward to reading more from her. My only complaint: I'm kind of anal when it comes to POV. I hate erratic shifting POV - believe me, I know how difficult it can be to be balanced and consistent when writing in third person. But you just have to. You can't spend most of the book from one or two people's POV and then suddenly jump to someone new. To be fair, I actually kind of liked it in this book; she did a good job of getting into each person's head and it was nice to see the story from all of those angles. But it still kind of irked me on that fundamental level, just on principle. There were also some minor grammar errors (mostly punctuation) that probably shouldn't bug me, but I just think if you're writing for money, things like that are inexcusable. This probably won't bother anyone else; like I said, they were very minor. I'm just kind of a grammar Nazi. I'm trying to work on it. :)

The author's journey has all the compassion, thrills, worldly concerns and beauty of life all wrapped up in one biography about (when it comes down to it) what he loves in this world. I'm pretty sure that I'd recommend Little Princes to anyone. This review will not do it justice.

Ian Savage iansavage — Gabrielle Donnelly does a fine job with her premise, what would Jo March's great-great-grandaughters be like, if their American Mother married their British Father and brought them up in a nice neighborhood in London. The plot and family dynamics are fun, especially the personalities of and relationships between the three Atwater sisters. This is the book for you if you like your chick lit with a touch of light history.

Anouar Elharti _nouar_lharti — Sue has a family from hell and a lottery jackpot but is so sick of her life that she decides to hire a hit man to kill her. Tony is a werewolf who kills for money but this case intrigues him and he starts getting too close to Sue, a mistake that his enemies will use against him. There isn't really anything wrong with what I read of the book except it is a bit too slow for me. For 50 pages it was just Sue telling the story of her terrible family and all the wrongs they did to her and that was just boring to me. I scanned ahead and the next bit is the inevitable sexathon and more about her problems up to at least page 89 and that was way too much boring stuff to bother with. Goodbye book...next!
