Alfred Brendel - Beethoven: Complete Piano Concertos TrendKitaplar Kütüphanesi

Meh. Thomas Hardy takes out all of his really wonderful descriptive prose and gets down to just plot. He actually isn't that great on plot. Makes the book shorter, but with all of the richness gone there really isn't anything left. And, how creepy is it that the main character falls in love with a woman, her daughter, AND her grand-daughter. Something isn't quite right here.

Can you say shallow? I picked this book up because I was interested in how the author would use Steamboat as a setting. The copyright is 2009, but the locations are already dated. Guess that's part of life in Ski Town USA. Anyway, I've read children's books with more depth and meaning. Not a book I'd recommend.

This woman is controversial, I realize, however, one can gain perspective of what it was like to live in the fishbowl she lived in as the wife of a King, and walk a few miles in her shoes. It is a fascinating story.

This was one of the most powerful books I have read in a long time. Anyone who has struggled with, or knows anyone who has has battled alcoholism can not help but be moved by this searingly honest portrayal of a mothers free fall into the grip of addiction. I was left speechless , I STRONGLy recommend this to all of my friends and anyone else who reads this review.
