I don't usually read these kinds of books; I'm not really into "war" books, etc. But I had heard good things about it. Really enjoyed this book. It was just amazing to read about the conditions these POW and airmen had to live through during times of war. Not many I would like to read, but I was intrigued with the main character's strength, resilience and competitiveness. I've suggested it to my hubby. he doesn't read much, so I only suggest ones I think are worth it. Plus his father was a gunner in WWII.

The Friendship Test is a little longer than the average chick-lit novel and there is a little more depth to the book. About four college friends and their lives 15 years after college, Noble writes interesting female characters and the men surrounding them. There are a few too many issues and it does go on a little too long for this ADD reader...but it's a quick read, even at 400+ pages. Great for a plane, a beach or a pool!

The first half or so was simply torturous...I suppose I got a bit more into it at the end, but still, this took me ten times as long as a normal novel to finish just because I felt no real incentive to read it all.

I read this a few years ago on a recommendation from a professor, and I loved it, and then Oprah added it to her book club and I felt like the tool. But it’s still a masterfully told story and I love García Marquez.

I had no idea what to expect from this book. It was recommended by my SIL and I had never heard of Neil Gaiman. I was surprised. I laughed out loud several times. It was sort of a modern twist on Anansi. Every once in awhile he would throw in a word that would make it more of an 'adult' book. Overall i really enjoyed it.

I loved this book, and I'm not even into comics. It was just a really refreshing read. It wasn't your typical teen book, where the writing is kind of sub par. There was a deeper meaning, it was a worthwhile read.
