Iris Michalon wiwiss — I really enjoyed this book but it wasn't at all what I expected. The back of the book made me believe that the book was focused mostly on the historical aspect of the story. And there are parts of the story that are focused on this, but its not the main focus. The main focus seems to be on the relationships between the characters, I thought that this relationship between the characters was unique and very interesting. The creative use of language in this book made it interesting and unique as well, part of it is written as if the person speaking is not a native english speaker, so the word choice is sometimes off. At first this is disconcerting but after a while you get used to it and its enjoyable. Overall, good and unique book. A worthwhile read.

Hussain Ebrahim 8xhx8 — The first half or so was simply torturous...I suppose I got a bit more into it at the end, but still, this took me ten times as long as a normal novel to finish just because I felt no real incentive to read it all.

Could private sessions be exactly what Jordy needs? Jordy’s story is quite intense. This emotion-packed story keeps you enthralled and needing to know what happens next. While Jordy’s decisions weren’t always the best ones, readers can definitely relate to his pain and emotional distress, as well as his inability to make good choices for himself. Private Sessions is a fast-paced read that brings realistic emotion front and center. This is my first experience with Barto’s work and I’m glad I had the opportunity. The characters and plot were well-developed, keeping me involved until the last page. I highly recommend Private Sessions to anyone looking for a fast, intriguing read.
