Yep, that's right, I started reading Twilight. My co-worker got me into it, and I'm so glad she did! I'm hooked! It is a VERY easy read, but very entertaining. People say it's a lot like Harry Potter....I can see the connection, not because of what it's about but because of the way it is written, makes you want to continue reading.

This book was entertaining, but self-indulgent- and the main character is someone I have little respect for. It's difficult to sympathize with a character on the basis of the people around him being mental when he's just as mental, if not more so, than them.

An interesting read. I think this author is still finding his voice. I read this at work so I left it there everynight. I was able to put it down but I also expected to pick it back up again when I had a break. 2 sequels. One already written, the Scorch Trials, which I have put on hold. No copie here so an interlibrary loan. Kind of like Lost, which I got tired of watching, and not nearly as good as Hunger Games.

I am not completely sure what the meaning is because I am only halfway through Fables 2. These are amusing to read, though, because they use characters like Snow White and the Big Bad Wolf. And it's funny, with little punchlines drawn in. They're like secret jokes if you look at the details in the drawings. Also, this is my first fun book since school got out. Yay! Fables 2-8 are now on my list. ----- I really like these, although I'm not really sure about the political stuff. I mean, there are clear parallels they are drawing to real life political situations and I don't know enough to know if they're doing it in a way that's fucked up or not. Kea says it's pretty historically accurate at least... Anyway, this girl that I met in Lansing said she hates one of the authors because he violently killed a cool female character that everyone loved in Batman and Robin or something like that... Oh yeah, I'm even considering naming my children after a couple of the characters in this series. haha...
