Christian Do christiando — To antiphrase Jack Flag... I &%^$#ing LOVE cosmic stuff. Generally I have a softer spot for the talking raccoons and trees and Russian space dogs of Guardians of the Galaxy, but the Nova series has a great set of elements too (including, in this case, a little interlude with said Russian space dog. So good). The stakes are cosmically huge, the drama is mixed in with humor, and Gamora, the deadliest woman in the galaxy, really doesn't wear very many clothes. What's not to like?

Kaoru Cchi verocraftsa297 — This is awesome! It's especially good when read to a group of children, with cool voices and lots of enthusiasm. One of our most favorite children's books ever! It teaches observation and watching for clues, plus common sense... LOL thinking about it.

Brian Oesch brian0017 — What to say about this book... I just didn't like it. I get it, I know bullying can push kids to this point, I've been there myself. But I guess I wanted the kid to cut her parents a break. Her voice in the book is so sarcastic about everything and even when she is on her website and other people are posting their problems she's like, "oh, these people are so pathetic" and it made me want to scream, "honey, so are you!" I don't know, it's just one big pity party and I just couldn't get into it. At least she had two parents who were trying. Were they clueless on a lot of things, yes. But they were doing the best they could and honestly, her silence about a lot of things that happened to her is her own fault. This book is just like 13 Reasons Why and I didn't like the MC's voice in that book either.

Min Wang _arrie4711 — It was a good idea but the writing was confusing at times. The main character seemed to solve problem / mysteries without letting the reader know what he was thinking. The clues didn't match the conclusions. Good characters who seem to be a bit lost in this method of writing.

Saebom Choi vsbv — The Wizard of Oz story told through the eyes of the Wicked Witch of the West. This story answers the question of why she was so mean, and yes, sadly,it has much to do with growing up rather ugly. I found this book by turns amusing, engaging, and sad. Overally, a very good read that I had trouble putting down.

This book is not only a memoir and an excellent "how-to" guide to writing, but an exploration of the themes and ideas that drive his creative process. I found that insight helped me understand King's writing even more, from his short stories to his cryptic comments in interviews. A must-read for any real fan or aspiring popular fiction writer.
