Seray Uslu serayuslu — Awesome addition to the series! This is unquestionably my favorite series. This addition really focuses on Eve and her division, her men, how they work together and how Eve has had her effect on them. The ending was emotional couldn't help but get teared up. Love every character in this series.

Ivan Gomez ivange — A very enjoyable collection of Holmes and Watson mysteries, although there is a decided return to the romantic/melodramatic stylings of the early novels. After the opening story, which goes to lunatic levels to bring Holmes back (but fair enough), there are some great stories throughout. Watson's narrative voice is pitch-perfect, as is his relationship with Holmes. Beyond this, the various Scotland Yard characters are given more depth, and are able to work WITH Holmes, as opposed to just following him around and always being wrong. As I said above, though, many of the stories seem to veer toward that very 19th century melodrama feel in their denouements, although Conan Doyle handles it quite emotionlessly, so at least it isn't protracted. And many of the stories - those featuring missing people or objects - often seem to end with the same kind of conclusion (I won't say which, but you'll notice the pattern). Still, these weren't initially published in book form, and so I don't hold vague similarities against them. An enjoyable collection of stories. I'm two-thirds of the way through the canon already!

Vim Silva _im_ilva — I confess, I have never read Wuthering Heights. I know that it's a classic and every young girl should read it but really the opening imagery always put me off. Moors and cliffs are romantic? Since when? Apparently Alice Hoffman based her book on the story of Wuthering Heights. If this is the case, I have less of a reason to read it now. The characters in this book seemed completely unrelatable to me. I never understood the appeal of Hollis and March as a couple or why she would leave her very loving husband for an obvious sociopath. As I've mentioned before, my own experience with infidelity makes me a bit biased but truthfully I just couldn't understand why March was constantly drawn into this sick and twisted relationship where she was seen as an object of a desire and he maintained a puppeteer-like control over her. I see no appeal or romance in that type of relationship. Not to say that the story isn't well written because it is. Hoffman has wonderful prose and imagery and I did feel the intense connection between March and Hollis, I just didn't agree with it so I couldn't fully commit. If you've read Wuthering Heights, I say give it a read just to make the comparison, but other than that, it was just so-so and I liked Practical Magic MUCH better!

Kieun Moon mmmkeee — I think this had a good premise, but too much time was spent expalining things versus things actually happening.
