Readers will come away well-informed and with a clearer pictures of the options available to their parents. This book is recommended for those currently forcing these issues or who will be soon.

Islam El webdesignegypt — I've said before that "Calvin und Hobbes" is an excellent way to practice your German. If you had any affection for the strip in English, reading it in German is only more enjoyable. A teacher can easily sample from it to make fun exercises for students, and a student may learn a great deal by reading it through. This one seems to have a good number of American cultural references (such as "Halloween") that would not be obvious to German readers, but doubtless most Germans are familiar enough with the basics to follow it.

Sonia Rrodriguez switss — Very good book. The movie comes out next year. Best Stephen King book I have read since the Shining.

Damian Bida e_iznes_eu — I would consider the Brothers K as the greatest novel ever written. Certainly very influential and grandiose in scope. The multi layered themes and characterizations transcend time and place in understanding humanity.

Katie Ramirez _atie_amirez — What i learn from this book is never do something until somebody tells u to.What was intresting about the book was that george killed lennie that really suprised everyone.I also learned that theres themes in this book and alot of them for example theres socail high class.Another thing is never mess with someone that is bigger than you or stronger than you.these are the things i learned from this book.

Kami Cheung kamicheung — This is an enjoyable memoir by a writer who read Michael Pollan and some other books, had a baby, then decided to write about her experiences volunteering to work in a restaurant in her neighborhood in Brooklyn. She also went to the restaurant's suppliers and learned about the how the produce, cheese, fish, and meat was produced (so there's a bit about rural life in there). It's funny, because at the beginning of the book, her 1 y.o. is existing mainly on bananas and yogurt. He won't eat *any* of the typical toddler foods. The chapters are mix of parenting stories, food and cooking descriptions (with some recipes), and political and literary stuff about food - local foods, organic foods, food miles, and M.F.K. Fisher are all included. There's no index, though, which annoyed me when I wanted to find something to read to my dh (Rehak's quote from Fisher about little kids' food preferences, from "Serve It Forth", 1937): "When a man is small, he loves and hates food with a ferocity which soon dims...His throat will close, and spots of nausea and rage swim in his vision. It is hard, later, to remember why, but at the time there is no pose in his disgust. He cannot eat; he says, 'To hell with it!'" (p. 37-38).
