Pak Vi _ichen11211e9c — This is the best book I have ever read. I can't say enough about it. Mary Shelley did what no woman before her had done: she wrote a horror story. She was also a master at it. If you are expecting blood and gore, then you will be sadly disappointed. This is a frame story told by Victor Frankenstein about his own obsession with acquiring knowledge. A romantic-age,pretentious climber one could say. He discusses how his quest for knowledge about the human anatomy led him to create a being of his own. This being, Victor's own trophy of his acquisition of knowledge, slowly begins to ruin everything else in Victor's life. The "monster" or "creature" as he is called, begins to destroy all those that Victor loves. And where Victor actually loses more as he gains more knowledge, so does the creature. The creature begins to crave acceptance and learns about human culture. He soon learns how to speak and wants to engage in human society, but because of his horrid appearance, he is shunned. The creature then takes out his anger on Victor, his creator, by killing those closest to him. Both Victor and his creature learn too much and soon realize they would have been better off not having learned as much. The theme explored in this book is done so brilliantly, and it truly leaves the reader thinking. LOVE IT!!!

Christina Callender _risti_ali — Some people hate the ending, some people love it. Personally, i like it, even though i feel it would have been better a little different, the impact is incredible. I don't think i can ever forget about the hunger games and the emotional and physical trauma that comes with these books. They are really eye opening on certain aspects on humanity and how we behave. Amazing on how when someone loves another, they dont seem to give up on each other. Amazing how others forget. Interesting how the hurt become healed. I dont think i can ever forget about the hunger games.probably my first dytopian read. and although Collins' books are rather dull in the begginning and middle, they are absolutely riveting near the ends. its just her writing style! anyway i really enjoyed these books, and they were great. reccomend to anyone!
