Oziel Souza ozieldesigner — The story of Karen and Nathan started out very good, but once the story reached her 18th birthday, it went down hill from there. Nathan changed, and Karen went along with it, never saying anything. It seemed the author was trying to create a male Tonya Harding, but crazier, and she succeeded. It was a bit too much. The way the plot unfolded was certainly unexpected, but again, it was too far out there. The way their story ends just plain sucked. I wish the story could have ended as well as it had started.

Inderjit Kaur inderjit_kaur — I loved this book so hard. Because I loved the characters. I loved Sam, and his best friend Ramon, and their adorable friend Brooke, who is helping them to "break" Frank, the new employee at Plumpy's Burgers. I loved Sam's family, ALL of them, and I was actually sad when I realized that his stepdad was dead. (He was such a great guy in that flashback!) Lish McBride has a true gift for characters, and I am so excited that this looks like it's the first in a series, because I need some more Sam! And the story is nothing to sneeze at, either. It's very clever, and fun. But seriously: Ashley the perky Harbinger! Saucy senior citizen Mrs. W.! These are some AWESOME characters. And, two words, kids: zombie panda. Yep.

Sunny Chirasak chirasakrcaf8 — 100 Secret Senses by Amy Tan This book was great. A real page turner. For me it was the perfect combination of spirituality and reality combining. It was also great to read about how your past culture and your present American culture can collide and also feel so distant from each other. Amy Tan is a brilliant writer. I’ve liked almost everything of hers that I have read to date.

Tracy Bloom dreamboardstudios — What a light and funny book about the courtship between 2 old folks...OOPS! They are only 68 and 58:). They have quirky family members and of course has a happy ending!

Andrea De _ — I am huge fan of Allan's-- personally and creatively-- and this book is absolutely stellar. The story are compelling and delightful and the writing is hilarious, lovely, original. Everything I've come to expect from this guy on and off the page.
