Vivek Soni _oni_ivek — Oh my goodness, this was so good! The character development, the plot, the diaglogue, the fantasy (but not too much) world in which this is set, are all beautifully crafted. By the author of "The Princess Academy." I'll look for more books by Shannon Hale. Perfect for young girls -- but enough action that boys would like it, too. Beautifully read by a multiple cast -- unusual in the world of audiobooks.

Albus Nguyen _lbus_guyen — DG is book 2 of The Malazan Book of the Fallen series and follows a few of the characters from the first book while introducing many new ones. It also introduces us to a new part of the world: Seven Cities, a kind of fantasy version of our own Middle East. I have nothing negative to say about this book. I fell in love with Erikson's world and characters because of it. While I enjoyed GotM, this book was the one that hooked me. Everything about it is a cut above its predecessor. Its structure is more cohesive, and the multiple threads are balanced well. I hate spoilers in reviews, so I won't discuss plot details. What I will say is this: If you liked GotM, but felt it was flawed, or too confusing, you need to read this one. Even if you had no idea what the hell was happening in the first one, it is OK. This is not a direct sequel, but almost another beginning. Try it.
