Alexandra Faia alexandraf0566 — The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold turned out to be a bit difficult to finish. When I first started the novel, I was completely captivated by the subject. The reader gets a first hand look at what most authors do not incorporate in books. The fact that the story is told from the perspective of character that is dead is unique. The wording Sebold uses can leave the reader confused at times and it makes the book almost impossible to keep up with.

Juan Carlos jcreative — I finished. Amazing. I was somewhat amused to revisit all of the major characters they've had throughout the series. I was also amused that the commentary of what kind of people mostly populate the world we live in. But the pontificating that goes on for pages and pages, I could have done without. What was it with everyone trying to pair Richard with Nicci? Think they may have a say in the whole thing? Everyone was extreme. So basically, if it wasn't for the fact that I really wanted to know how the whole thing ended, I don't think I could have slogged through to the end. Which I guess says something - it was a good enough story that I did want to know how it ended. However, I read the book in just over a day because I skimmed through the majority of it - like watching a show on TiVo in fast forward. I'm glad I'm done with it.
