His life is an intersection of chance and circumstance; he lets us into his world of mystycism and revolution, poverty and prosperity in an amazing work that spans his life up to the moment that he proposes to his wife. Gabo and Mercedes have now been married for 47 years, but that's another story I can't wait to read, if it is ever published.

Archmahmoud Kamel midototti237ad — My rating is more about the format of the book. This is the first time I listen to a book instead of reading it and it is quite a challenge! I agree with some of the things I heard and disagree with some points, especially those concerning religion and how it is not to be used as a guide in one's life. I understand we all need to find a way but religion must be there to govern or we'd all go wild ;p I didn't understand some parts and I wondered off in many ;p therefore I'm going to listen to it again and change my rating if needed so.

łukasz Cendrowski thisisminimal — This novel has a great start. Character development happens quickly, as does the action of the story. As the plot unfolds, the action (and I say this in all seriousness) is a little out there, even for Stephen King. Not even a semblance of believability. I found myself stopping frequently, unable to enjoy the story as character after character is slaughtered by cartoon characters. Very silly. However, there are some redeemable journal excerpts from one of the main characters and letters that tell about horrific, realistic events. I'd give the novel a 2.5, but the system allows for a 2 or 3, so I'm being generous. In my opinion, not King's finest.

Kellie Clifford kelliececilia — Jen Lancaster's best. I always find her writing hilarious, but this book also has a plot to follow, where her other books are more like (funny) blog posts about one subject.
