Leandro Chaman leandrochaman — It wasn't particularly good.. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a book that's been deemed a 'classic' for some reason. The subject area is definitely something I am interested in, but I just found the story dull.

Andrea Di wwwand1975 — somewhat acedemic, but a thoroughly researched tome on how the artisans and workers built the foundations of science. the 'great men of science' heroification theory has been discounted before, but this is pretty interesting socio-political science reading. if you're a nerd.

Ben Herrera _en_errera — I almost put down The Flight of the Maidens about half-way because I got bored, but I'm so glad I didn't. It tells the story of three seventeen year-old girls in Yorkshire just after WWII. The books opens when all have received scholarships to good universities, and then goes on from there--the next few months of their lives. What I liked was the depiction of friendship, relationships of two of them to their mothers, the way they view the war, and the constant return to male characters who are war-damaged (either fathers damaged by WWI or younger men gone or come back from WWII).
