Maha Hamdy m_hamdy — I really didn't like this book. Didn't even finish it. The author's attitude got to me too badly. She was pretty condescending, and constantly surprised that no one "could tell" that she had a PhD and was "overqualified" for the position of waitress, maid, etc. And, frankly, the idea of "pretending to be someone of the lower class" as a lark and to write a human-interest article says more about the class problems in this country than anything she actually wrote.

Apoorva George _poorva31_ennifer — I'm not a big Gregory Maguire fan. I haven't read "Wicked" or "The Ugly Stepsister". I am, however, a big Snow White fan so I had no second thoughts about buying this book, regardless of who the author was. I've read a number of Snow White versions, both from little known amateur authors to well-established ones like Angela Carter and Neil Gaiman, and I have to say compared to what I've read, "Mirror, Mirror" is just average. The plot was expected (duh?) and the characters were as bland as they were, or maybe even more boring than in the Grimms classic. There was nothing really new, except for a few twists, which failed to touch me. I guess I was hoping for a more supernatural/horror-atmospheric story (i.e something similar to Neil Gaiman's Snow, Apples and Glass, which is probably the best Snow White re-telling I've read) and that prejudiced me into not enjoying the book. The historical references are interesting enough and that helped me finish it. Whatever deeper meaning it had to convey is totally lost on me.

Slava Zubarev slavazubarev — Midnight Sun, written by Stephenie Meyer. It is the retelling of the story her first book, Twilight, from the view of the primary male character of the book, Edward Cullen. This book is very intense as it delves into Edward's thinking and feelings about the new girl in town, our protagonist, Bella Swan. I really enjoyed this book. It answered many of the plot and character questions i had after reading Twilight. The only negative thing I can add about this book is that it is unfinished. i fear it will never be completed as the author has seemingly lost interest and her audience already knows the outcome of the story.

Priyancka Kalra _ba_ck — Vivian is a testament of optimism, she succeeded despite so much adversity wow her life story reads like a movie, how does she live her life in such greatness given that her entire immediate family has suffered great tragedy simply amazing!
