Ivonne Urrea neinath — Jodi Picoult delivers again. I figured this book would be about infertility, but the ultimate storyline morphed into gay rights. And, while I really really loved the message she was trying to portray, she did such an amazing job representing the born-again church that I was overly frustrated many times (not with the book per se, but with some of the audacious statements claimed by the church members and pastor, which I know is the stance of many institutions today). Typically, I escape with her books and this one, although entertaining and engaging, just left me dumbfounded at the ignorance of these church members (sure it's a book, but she couldn't make this stuff up, even if she tried).

Sakr Design sakr_design — This book was a re-read for me and I have to say that I have no idea why I loved it so much the first time around. This time I'm finding it clunky and dull. The characters are paper-doll thin and cliche and it was just not that good. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm going to regret paying out for a bunch of her other books.
