Ratul Sinha _at_man — An interesting and exciting story. A lot of big words that I don't know, and I'm not ashamed to admit it, mostly dealing with extint flora and fauna found (or not) at the center of the earth.

Sdsdfa S carrie_kung — so funny, I tried reading it while cycling to work.

Guillermo Rodríguez guilleborrella — I'm not a huge Dickens fan, but this story is so mysterious and haunting, you can't help but love it!

Catalina Velásquez tgtp — Finally!!! This book took me forever to read. I've read long books before, but none of them manages to feel as long as this one. Some parts I enjoyed, some parts I really didn't. This book is weird because some consider it's kind of a classic but at the same time it kind of isn't. It's an enduring story that many are familiar with, but I have a suspicion that the movie is why this novel has remained popular. As a work of literature, it is just okay. My main problem with this is the plot. Mitchell covers a huge span of time, which is not a problem in itself, but the lengthy sequence of events gets to be exhausting, especially when some events seem to be more exciting than others. Some things that happen just seem pointless (like the entire marriage with Frank. Boring and not even necessary.)and other things are clearly just an easy way for the author to "move" the plot along-- for example, almost every single time a character dies. For me, the best parts of this book were during the war and the early stages of reconstruction, and maybe the last 100 pages or so when the part you spend waiting 900 pages or so to happen finally starts to happen. Everything else you could kind of do without. At least I can say I've read it.
