Emmanuell Emmanuell _mx — I have no idea of where to start with this review. I enjoyed the book, but did not seem to LOVE it like some other reviewers have??? The storyline... The storyline for this book was different and unusual. There are 5 different factions and each one had different beliefs. When a person turns of age, they take a test to determine which faction they are compatible with. Then at the choosing ceremony, they get to choose which faction they would like to join. Of course, the book would be boring if our little heroin chose her own faction, so , she chose a different faction. Dauntless which is the faction of courage. Each new member is put through an initiation of sorts and if you pass, then you may join the faction. If not, then you will be factionless. The Characters.... Beatrice is one tough cookie! Dauntless was the perfect faction for her. She is nervous and scared, but brave enough to do what needs to be done in order to survive. I really liked Four too! He is edgy and mysteriously sexy. Their relationship is very sweet and innocent. The friends that "Tris" aka Beatrice had made during initiations were great also. I really liked Will the best. He was sweet and I was kind of hoping for a romance with him and Tris, but oh well! In Conclusion.... I would suggest for anyone whom loves dystopians to read this book. I think that I have wanted to read this book for a while and I built it up so much in my head that when I finally read it, it was not as fantastic to me anymore. I am not sure, but I will be reading the next book, Insurgent, when it comes out in May. “I might be in love with you." He smiles a little. "I'm waiting until I'm sure to tell you, though.”

Rustam Malikov rumindesig7d72 — There are moments when reading this book that I had such a body/mind reaction that it was difficult to continue reading. I fully understand why some reviewers have called this the best book of the year. In most ways it is, tumbling toward its inevitable ending. The novel hits a stark and simple emotional nerve. The closing of the novel has less punch and velocity than the rest of the narrative, but in a way as a reader the story is so emotionally draining that you, like Agu, the main character, are also exhausted. Some of the actions toward the end of the novel don't carry as much detail or emotional weight as other parts of the novel, but the clipped pace serves as a reminder of the desperation being portrayed in the novel.
