Yngvar Ness _ngnes — i had such high hopes for this book, but the author is way too self aware and verbose, she let this story eat itself alive.

俞 琦 yuki1121 — Such a beautifully written story!!! This book is an all time favorite of mine. I read it years before the movie came out, and just so you know the movies doesn't compare to it!!! I love this type of writing because even though it was a fictional story, there was some truth to it. Historical fiction is a favorite genre of mine and this definitely fit in nicely.

Josef Brian sefthepanda — Helen Keller is truly amazing. She found so much joy in life from friendships, nature, literature, and by choosing not to dwell on her limitations (and they are more severe than I can imagine). This book provides a three-dimensional view of her life up to her early twenties: her own autobiography--and she is a gifted writer; her letters--incredible to see how quickly she picked up language; and her teacher, Miss Sullivan's account--so insightful. Seth was getting updates every day on Helen Keller while I read it, I was so fascinated that I had to share.
