Xue Yuan xueyuanng — I have this book on my shelf and it always stares at me. Since I've never had a book that has been on my shelf longer than a month that's still classified in Unread.

Ileana Callan _leana_allan — I gave this book a five because it is wonderful at accomplishing exactly what I hoped it would! We have several books about baptism but they are all more of a lecture and loose the young child right from the start. Not this one, George is a wonderful story teller and uses dialog that pulls young children in. He uses stories that happened to him during his young life to isslustrate how Heavenly Father was teaching him the things he needed to understand before he made the commitment to be baptized. I only wish I would have found it sooner! It was great for my 8 year as well as a great reminder for my 12 and 10 year old on what we commit to do at baptism. I won't lie, it was a good reminder for me as well! I'm excited to have it in my home.

周 依 heroyi — I read this book in the first year of my undergraduate engineering course. I read it because I was trying to read some 'tough' books because I felt I did not 'make the cut' intellectually. Anyway, I was told this book was about philosophy, but I found the philosophical content quite infantile and absurd. What I really found fascinating was the first-person narrative technique, coupled with an unreliable narrator. The story of a man who is exploring his alter-ego through his writings, and at the same time going on a motorcycle journey to get in touch with his estranged teenage son is what I really found more interesting. The stuff about Quality and Zen was, IMHO, just good scenery and props. Dunno what the other reviews say here, I always get shocked looks from friends when I say this to them ;-).

Saeed Shaikh saeed_pixelperfect — I really hated this book. The entire time I read it, I felt like i was just going in circles. It was pretty boring, and I just did not like that style of writing AT ALL.

Jennelsa Johnson _ennelsa — This book won a Bancroft, and for good reason--it offers a complex analysis of the economic, cultural, and ecological factors that contributed to one of the country's worst natural disasters while remaining an enjoyable, readable history. By far the best environmental history book I've read, Worster weaves enough social history into the narrative to illustrate the complicated relationship Americans have had with their land. He takes a critical yet understanding view of the plainsmen and places them firmly within the context of capitalist culture, which makes for a compelling argument.

Ebru Karaçar sillybean08455e — Wow, this book was amazing. The vibrant language and raw sensuality in this memior are both titilationg and magnetic. This is the story of a gay cuban author and his hardships in his native cuba. The book is a rollercoster ride of emotions and wild times. Certainly not for the squeenish but a must read as far as I'm concerned.

Julián Arias julianarias — I was greatly impressed by astonishing atmosphere of the book: Amanda with butterflies around her head, the old aunt always the right person to listen to crying men's love story,.... Reading once is not enough.
