Mssani Mssani _s_ani — I absolutely love this book. Its funny, shocking, apocalyptic, tragic, and philosophically complex, as it surfaces several questions about the ethical nature of choice and free will. As I mentioned earlier to my friend Catie, I've talked to a lot of people who have hated this book and a lot of people who have found it amazing. I think it all depends on your dedication to TRYING to understand it. Anthony Burgess invented a whole new vernacular (a wierd mix of cockney,gypsie, and russian called Nadsat)for the characters of the book including the narrarator/protagonist, so it takes a few chapters to get used to the language in order to figure out exactly whats going on. I think you'll like it. Just stick with it and it'll redeem itself. When you do start reading it, my brothers and only friends, heres a link to a website that offers a nadsat glossary. Emily Kuang emilykuang — للمرة الثالثة .. بعد ذاكرة الجسد وفوضى الحواس , يتملكني نفس الشعور بأن أحلام تبعث برسائل حب وعتاب على لسان ابطال الرواية الى الوطن .. الى الجزائر .. الى المدينة الرائعة القاسية "قسنطينية" !! إنه الوطن الذي قسى عليهم وطارد أحلامهم وفرقهم عن أحبتهم .. المدينة العتيقة التي تسكنهم بذكرياتها .. بمن فارقوهم فيها .. بقسوتها .. بقاتليها وقتلاها ... بجسورها , التي تمتد في نفوسهم وتتشعب الى جسور أخرى تفصلهم عن الوطن .. عن الأحبة .. عن الحياة !! لم تعجبنى بداية الرواية شعرت أن بها اطالة لا داعى لها .. ولكن كمجمل أحببتها أكثر من فوضى الحواس قرأت الاجزاء الثلاثة على فترات زمنية متباعدة لذا أشعر بحاجتى الى اعادة القراءة مجددا
