The super hero team that broke all the rules! The Skrulls, the sinister alien race that still menace all corners of the Marvel Universe. Doctor Doom, still the greatest villain of all time! The reappearance Prince Namor, heralding an ambiguous characterization that blurred the line between "hero" and "villain." The action and dialogue of these early issues still holds up today. It's also interesting reading these stories and comparing them to FF tales more recent to see just how far the characters have come, and how subsequent writers have built upon what Lee and Kirby started. For myself, I don't believe Marvel was at all premature when, as early as issue #3, the magazine carried the slogan "The Greatest Comic Magazine in the World!"

Nasia Micha nmicha — Quick read, kept me wanting to finish it but never really delivered what I was hoping for. Good book for the hammock on a sunny day when you don't really want to think. There are more in the series but I couldn't be bothered.
