Fab Jack fabjack — I practically have this book memorized, given the number of times I've read it. Yet it still remains one of my favourite treads on this very old tale, which also happens to be my favourite fairy tale of all time. I'm not typically a fan of first person POV, but Beauty wins me over every time. This is a real comfort read and always leaves me feeling warm and fuzzy after a rough week.

Danillo Assis danilloassis — It takes a shy boy, "who notices everything," and his best friend who happens to be an incredibly artistic beetle to solve the mystery at the heart of Masterpiece. For fans of "Chasing Vermeer", and "The Mouse and the Motorcycle." Some of the artistic history and mini art appreciation bits may be lost on some of those in the intended audience, but I don't think that will detract from the younger readers enjoyment.

Martin Rayment martinrayment — Author Elizabeth Lapthorne wrote one romanctic story of Kyli and Max and Gregor. Max and Gregor meeting together during work they do as Mercs, told of Kyli's fantasy and Max and Gregor fulfill it and this author brings out beautiful sizzling scenes that brought two characters romance back together. Gregor stepping aside, see Kyli and Max's love grow and bond even more. I am so looking forward to reading Gregor's story, which is in ebook at Ellora's Cave. Too, don't miss out on her vampire books either. She's now an auto buy author. You'll know you'll get sizzling scenes, a romantic story and just a fantastic story within it all with Elizabeth Lapthornes books!

Daniele Carboni hopedisorder — love her writing but just like bel canto- the ending was weird

Niku Wolfe wolfenwrit0a10 — As other reviewers have said, I really wanted to like this book. Banks uses a tremendous amount of detail to describe, ultimately, very little. I found it hard to visualize most of what he was crafting. Despite putting it down several times, I read it through and was left marveling at the completely inadequate finish. I'll likely pick another of his works, but it'll be the last if its similar to 'Matter'.
