Alexandre Agostinho alexagostinho — A collection of short pieces capturing human experience. What strikes me most is the play of atmosphere on the characters and how one particular character in each tale will influence (often for the worse) the others.

Kellie Clifford kelliececilia — lives upto the every expectation i had from this book and series. amazing!!!! this book is just wow. i cant wait for the release of bloodlines even if this story ended. there are a lot of characters that need their story to be completed. thats why i cant wait!!

Eduardo Silveira edu_passad2266 — Very cute---lots of interesting facts, and weirdly enough, Ms. Berenbaum's sense of humor reminded me of the way Kathy Reichs uses humor in her Temperance Brennan books. Is there some kind of...class that scientists take about that kind of thing? I need to read more nonfiction, I found it oddly comforting and nice to have a book with cited articles/books that I could look up in the "References" section in the back. I also thought that the author's clear love and defensiveness about insects was adorable. It didn't ever occur to me that an entomologist might feel that way---all attached and like she needs to defend bugs from defamation and harm. I really enjoyed this and will probably order her other books from the library.

Larry Baird larryebaird — I really liked this one -- tying the whole mystery as tightly to Fix's past like this was a great way to justify a lot of flashbacks to his youth, and as a result, I feel like I know him a lot better now. And in general- the world is wonderful too. Explaining everything through ghosts(including zombies and werewolves) sounded a bit far fetched in the first book, but I'm in agreement with it by now! And I love how dark the world in general is. (view spoiler) Cliffhangers are so evil! I wasn't planning on reading the fifth book right away, but I have to know what will come of the last few pages!
