Anna Gialluca annagialluca — I read this as an adult; I believe it was in the little book store that used to be behind CVS, but closed. although masked as a children's book, this story really talks about the arms race and nuclear weapons. I personally think the end is a little creepy! This is a great children's book to use with older students because it easily connects to more adult ideas while the reading and pictures are fun / easy.

Paige Coolman _aige_oolman — This is a great historical fiction books. But the violence is bone-crunching. Just to warn you.

Triscope Films _riscope_ilms — Probably my least favorite Austen to date, I have to say. Fanny was such an uncompelling main character...too timid and retiring to do any good to the people around her. She drove me crazy, and the ending reads like the epilogue of a movie. Still, a pretty good book...just not her best.

Chu Chu chuchu91 — I have never read one of these "naughty nooners" before and I wasn't sure how long they were. I figured with the name it should be a short novella, easily read in an afternoon. Nope, it didn't even take two minutes to read and I'm soooo glad that it was free because it wasn't worth those two minutes of my time. Jamillah (h) as a young girl had fallen in love with Prince Zahir. However she was the daughter of a servent and so she wasn't good enough for the prince. When the prince's family learned of thier infatuation for each other they had sent Jamillah's family away. Now years later and on her own (her parents died years ago) she's starving and very thirsty so she goes and drinks from the princes horse's water. Prince Zahir is told that someone is stealing his horses water and it is up to him to decide what punishment the offender should recieve, usually they would lose a hand. When he gets there and finds out that it is Jamillah, his long lost love (from when they were 6) he can't wait to carry out his punishment. He won't take her hand but he will make her his sex slave. Imo, this was written very poorly. The sex scenes lacked any heat at all.

郭 伟 121xiaozhu — Read this thanks to kimi's review and am so grateful. This story was wonderfully written. I fell in love with the honesty and vulnerability of the characters- the humanness. Its a love story really, but not a romantic one, one of sisterhood, in its finest form. great book!

Jere Carroll jerecarroll — Well enough written. Lovely cover. I have to admit, I was going to say it was only okay, but then I read the author's note in the back and I revised my opinion. Now, normally, I don't believe that you should have to read the author's note to "get" a story, but in this case, it made sense to me.
