Nina Slowioczek _ina_lowioczek — I enjoyed this book. I wish there was a little more back story and follow thru, but I think that theres great potential in the author and in the story. I'll be reading the other books.

Isadora Guerrero balnearios — Inspired by a story the author heard, and the Part III of the novella is the basis of Bizet's opera. Carmen enjoys torturing men mentally and manipulating them, but Mérimée's characterization makes her just an immature kid who stamps her feet when she gets mad, instead of the mysterious, alluring and seductive Gypsy that I can only presume she was meant to be. Still, at the same time none of the characters are fleshed out, and the story itself is thin as a straw.

Jessup's current trial has to keep his first trial unmentioned, in chap.30 Bosch reads "prior sworn testimony" of the no-longer available detective Kloster and the jury is told not to concern itself with where the testimony originated. When they are done, the judge asks defense attorney Royce if he wants any of the defense's CROSS read into the record; doesn't "cross" indicate an initial trial? Disappointed w ending. A quick, unimaginaive wrap.

Jeff Carnelutti jeffcarnel8ded — It's a great book about a mouse named Matthias who lives in an abbey called Redwall. But one day a rat named Cluny attacks the abbey. In order to beat Cluny he has to find the legendary sword of Martin the warrior, the hero of Redwall abbey, but it has been lost for centuries.

Victoria Arguello _itar — Excellent read. My kids love this book and we have read it over several times.

Branden Gil tuminater12 — I really liked this book. It has such an interesting backdrop (Seattle during WWII--sending Japanese families to internment camps in the US). Even though it was a light read, it explored many heavy issues including the war, racism, father-son relationships, and of course a love story. A couple of times it was a little sappy, but it had me crying in the end (in a good way). Very uplifting...
