Renata Asunaga renatinhah — Eh. The travelogue is lacking a general theme. The text is OK, but not very engaging. The author doesn't seem to be on any mission except to observe things, and his wife is a non-character. The title is misleading, as only the last third of the book has anything to do with Tibet. The book ends abruptly, failing to draw any conclusions. Still some decent material in here.

Rafael Dorneles faeldorneles — A humorous and satirical look at our country, the ideals it was based on, those who founded it, and how it compares to other areas of the world. Unless you are already an expert on America, democracy and everything pertaining to it, you will find yourself wondering whether the information contained in this book is the truth, or a joke. The answer to that question is, "yes." I had to resort to an internet search more often than I care to admit, but I found that I learned more by being prompted by my ignorance of their point than I would have from reading a dry text book. The design is early elementary school textbook, which I found quite entertaining. The "Were You Aware" margin notes were especially hilarious, as were the footnotes. It's unfortunate; however, that in order to point out distressing truths about our 'great nation' the authors were forced to resort to humor. I have long been a fan of the Daily Show because, albeit in the guise of 'comedy', they are not afraid to engage in the kind of true and necessary journalism that the 'legitimate' media seems to have let fall by the wayside. This book is an extension of that aim, and accomplishes it's purpose quite well. Note: This book sits on our coffee table, with works by Bill Maher, Michael Moore, and Al Franken. It's what we like to call 'The Coffee Table of Leftism"

Mike Mendoza mikel03803889 — Overrated.

Gianfranco Uc spacenoids — Found this in a used book store and enjoyed it more than The Ivy Tree. Interesting suspenseful read that has you guessing which characters are "good guys." Make that guessing on some characters -- some are pretty obvious :) Good for a light read.

Sanal Krishna sanalkrishna — Revealing, personal and approachable. Despite the tell-all tone, I found it somewhat hard to get a fix on the author himself; he seemed to downplay his own role, intelligence and personality. Nevertheless, it was a good read (heh).

Alice Hurrell _lice_urrell — It's like a train wreck!!! I LOVE this book! If you know or love someone who suffers from mental illness, this book can hit close to home. Loaned my copy out and never got it back. Of course.

Fekra Designs fekra5607 — This book made me so mad. Luckily I was reading it on my Kindle; otherwise it would have been flung across the room on numerous occasions. Tucker Max is what we call in Australia a wanker, or my favourite new word, a f#$%tard, better known in other countries as a douche bag. This book is one long bragging session about the women he has treated like crap, the amount of alcohol he has drunk, and how awesome he is. I read it to the end just to see if he got his comeuppance, but alas I was disappointed.
