Andrés Felipe _ndres_incon — Interesting approach to pain management. The author provides detailed explanations, with accompanying photos, of stretches of the fascia. He also recommends series of stretches for particular areas of the body where you might be experiencing pain. My yoga instructor has been introducing these stretches in class. The poses/stretches are awkward and very detailed, making it difficult to get into them on your own (think of playing Twister while reading a book.) However, I do find the stretches effective. I wish the book had a more user-friendly layout, with each stretch and related photo on the same page (or two) and the series of stretches corresponding to particular body areas grouped together.

Ahmed El _r_mo — Spindle's End is one of those delightful fairy tale expansions, and an excellent addition to McKinley's bookshelf. SPOILER!!! At the time of its printing, much was made of the fact that the final, IMPORTANT kiss came not only *from* a woman, but *to* a woman as well. Although the kiss is non-romantic, but practical (more like the fairy tale equivalent of the kiss of life), concerned parents need not worry overmuch. However, in the wake of the social changes happening in the world today, parents of any opinion may want to use the conclusion of this book to have a conversation with their children about any questions that may arise. For myself, I found the reversal unsurprising, and in some ways gratuitous. There's a feminist school of thought that the way we claim power is by berefting men of theirs and - whether that was McKinley's philosophic intention - that's how it read to me (much like the ending of "Enchanted"). This reviewer, at least, would like to see a return of balance, an understanding of the COMPLIMENTARITY of the sexes, rather than a mere reversal of actions in the name of "equality." *getting off soapbox*
