Rémi Debord _emi_ebord_ine_rt — I loved this slightly familiar but really lovely story of a mother fleeing an abusive husband and the world she creates away from him. The narrator is an authentic 11year old girl who still clings to the idea that her family will one day get back together. She makes a friend in this new city and she makes a pact with her to find their daddies. Both find them and end up realizing dreams are sometimes harmful if they prevent you from flying.

Mikhail Mokeev mmokeev — This novella is a quick and lovely read. I read it at work in one evening (we had a lot of down time) and I had to keep myself from sniffling several times. The characters are perfectly fleshed out, and the dialog rings true. The plot is simple, but that doesn't stop this from being a page-turner. Actually, through Adams' deft handling of prose and plot, you care not only for the main characters but the secondary ones as well. Clark, Alex's straight best friend, was a treat! I liked that this was a straight-forward (pardon the pun) romance and not erotica. Often times erotica writers feel they have to throw in a sex scene every other chapter, whether it makes sense to the plot or not. Here we just get a marvelous love story, one that makes your heart go out to young Jared and his even younger love Alex.
