Jay Larson jaymlarson — Apart from 'explaining' how the TV advertising campaign was meant to have come about, I found nothing else of interest in this book. I suppose the very fact that a book (and lots of interest in Meercats) has come from adverts tells us something - but not really interesting!

Davide Zhang daweizhang — I found the translation annoying, intrusive and dated, especially the use of the english aristocracy as a class reference system. After forty years it's probably time for a new one.

Alicia Tomassi aliciatomassi — I always hesitate to review my favorite books thinking my review wouldn't do justice with the book. This book turned out to be my favorite from page 1. I received the e-copy of this book through LibraryThing Giveaway. This book took me pretty long time to read, partly because of the fact that I didn't want it finish. The author produced a very vivid descriptions of landscapes and the fictitious Laureal City. The book is half narrated by Kardith, and half in the third person. I personally enjoy the books with switching narration. I loved the characters especially Kardith and Terricel. There wasn't much about their past in the beginning, everything was revealed as the story went on. This is a great book and I strongly recommend it to fantasy lovers. Read my full review here.

Natalie Venuto natalievenuto — I borrowed this from the library to try out some of the recipes. I like it so much that I am going to buy it. Tonight I made Curly Kale and Potato Soup, the kale and leeks straight from the garden. Waters includes a lot of tips for changing the recipes to reflect what is in season. Simple and delicious.

Naseem Raad nzraad — This was a laugh out loud novel from beginning to end and a nice light and lively read. From back cover: "Voluptuous, sensuous, alluring and fun. I really enjoyed this novel and you won't believe the HUGE "surprise" Sarah got when she decided to meet with a man from her personal ad!!

Gaurav Anand gauravanand — Miranda July, if you weren't famous, and we met sometime, possible in the produce section of the grocery store, or the back alley of some Chinese restaurant, we would be friends, I think. In another life perhaps. Your just my style. A little humor, a little sex, throw in the bizarre and it's love.

Allie Edwards _llllz — In the updated edition, the last chapter is devoted to how the book has been translated and used throughout the world. This was a little offputting for me, seemed a little masterbatory. Maybe I'm being too critical.
