One of those rare cases where the movie is WAY better than the book. The basic premise is the same, but only parts of the main character's story are similar. The quality of the screenplay adaptation far surpasses Swarup's writing ability. I would watch the movie again and again - you'd have to pay me to read this book again.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a little slow at the beginning, but the characters were so well-done, and I just couldn't figure out how they were all related, so I kept reading. I highly recommend this book.

I got a galley of this from the publisher even though I'm not a bookseller or librarian--I said I'd share it and tell people about it. :) I liked it a lot and read it very quickly.
