San moves to a new town after his dad is imprisoned, and is worried about fitting in, so he pretends to be a Zen master and everyone falls for it. He gets the girl of his dreams, but then loses her when his fradulence is revealed, but it all ends well. Ho hum. Some funny parts, but didn't really hold my interest like some of the author's other works.

Interesting book...really the first "couldn't put down" i've read in some time. That said, I "couldn't put it down" because I really wanted to know if I had truly guessed the twist in the end. I sorta had, so when the end arrived, it felt half-baked. I wasn't a fan of the writing, and sometimes books about books and writers just seem cheap. Seriously, a character freaks out because "Jane Eyre" is being thrown in a fire by a crazy person? May I repeat, freaks out about the book, not about the crazy person about to burn the house down. Still, enjoyable if forgettable.

I had to abandon this one, I am sorry to say. I had very high hopes that I was going to enjoy it just as much as I loved "Stiff" by Mary Roach. While this book had some fun and quirky tid-bits and some good advice from a legal standpoint on what you want done with your body after you die - I just had to put it down. Overall, the book was very dry and repetitive. The author would start to broach a topic, then stop and refer to another chapter in the book where, honestly, he didn't go into much further detail. It was not a horrible book by any means, but a little to dry for my tastes.

"Super" cute book.....and the author spoke at our local bookstore, so now I even have a signed copy! At first glance, I thought this was some silly chick lit read......and yes, it was funny and light......BUT on the contrary, I had to look up SIX words in the dictionary. She's smart this author......and I told her and the audience at the book-signing that I was impressed at the fact that I had gained some new vocabulary/SAT words from her novel......she was very happy to hear that from me.

I really liked the first few Drawing of the Three Stephen King books...although as time went on my interested petered out in the later books. Not sure why - whether it was the writing or the premise or just me getting bored with the whole thing.

Written by a nintendo fanboy, for nintendo fanboys. In the most affectionated way one can use "fanboy". However not much new for the avid Nintendo fan, except for a few anectodes. The last chapter is a short essay on the gaming future according to Big N that made me cringe. Nevertheless I enjoyed the book and it's a quick read.
