It was mildly frightening and informative. It gave me hope for the future. I enjoyed the fact that the author was fully capable of making fun of himself and his previous survival guide book with no hesitation. Is there nothing better than a young woman coming across a zombie half-frozen in ice in Canada and evincing exasperation rather than fear? I want to get a zombie-sniffing dog for my future citadel.

I was a little disappointed in the third book. It seemed a little scattered. There were too many characters killed off very quickly, and unceremoniously. I was happy with the resolution of the love triangle, and with the government.

Okay, so finished this last week. Definitely liked it more this time than when I read it during high school, likely because I understood it more. KEJ book club still hasn't discussed it (it's not due yet). I'm not madly in love, but I did enjoy it. Felt it dragged on at times. It's kind of the soap opera of the times, I suppose.
