Funny at times and heartbreaking at others. Maybe not the best book to read while watching a loved one deal with alzheimer's. I found she captured many moments beautifully. Glad I read it once but it is one I will not revisit.

Even though I am not christian or catholic, I find this book worth to listen. I know I need love from my husband, it is so truth. However, I am surprise that my husband say no when I ask him whether he feels any respect from me. This book gives me a good review of my attitude to my husband.

I have tried to read this book several times before, but now that it makes an appearance on my list of books to read (along with many Terry Pratchett ones – argh!), I thought I would give it a real proper attempt. Actually, on this reading, it was nowhere near as bad as I had thought. Some of the satirical moments are amusing, and I particularly like the conversations between Rincewind and Twoflower – I can almost picture them in my head, and the relationship between the two is excellent. For some reason, the world itself doesn’t resonate with me so much. I don’t know why because other magical lands, such as in Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, are much more vivid in my head. I don’t doubt my imagination, but sometimes the descriptions were just a little off for me. Still, I was super impressed to get to the finish after so many false starts, and I would even go so far as to say I enjoyed most of it. Now, though, I am simply left wanting some luggage with little feet.

A young woman seeks to save her house from being repossessed by finding her father. While the author lyricism sometimes topples into the annoying he manages to pack more of this world in 200 pages then most would be able to do with a thousand. An amazing book.

One of the best sci-fi books I ever read. And I'm not ashamed to admit that I am in love with the main character -Hiro Protagonist- computer genius and best sword fighter in the world. This is definitely one of the books that left me feeling empty and sad after I had turned the last page because it was over.
