I loved this book! This book did everything that a horror book needs to do.....creep you out, gross you out, and scare the pants off of you! This story was never predictable, and it always had me guessing. I really like this author. This is my first book by him and I am hooked! I can't wait to read Jigsaw Man now. For those of you that enjoy a good B Horror movie.....this is the book for you! And I mean that as a compliment! This was an amazing ride from page 1!

This was ok. The concept of fashion and advertising becoming so incredibly important and the extreme directions that such pop culture might go is kind of fascinating. Otherwise it's a Romeo and Juliet story with some little twists to them... and I've got to admit I'm not sure whether the roles were switched a bit. A quick read that had some entertainment value but didn't really... catch me or make me want more. I read it in a day without really caring that much about it.

Reasons I loved this book: It is an hilarious account of episodes in the early life of Spalding Gray, many incredibly awkward and embarrassing, all told with his incredible dry wit. It makes you uncomfortable and it makes you laugh out loud. Spalding Gray is from Rhode Island, and many of these stories take place there. I am also from Rhode Island, and love pretty much everything that takes place there. I read it when I was very young, and as a result it was very interesting because it is a lot about sex. It was one of the first, and now that I think about it potentially only, things that I have read about sex in a way that seems real and has a sense of humor. I haven't read it in many years, so I'm nut sure what I would rate it now, but those five stars reflect the impression it made on me at the time.
