I thought this book was very slow to start. After the actual plot takes off, though, it was a very quick read. I didn't absolutely love it, but I liked it enough to recommend it. The things I liked the best, upon reflection, was the dichotomy about how the main character saw himself and the way he appeared to others. You really only find this out at the very end of the story, but I thought it was a pretty interesting take on a first person narrative.

Such a fun read (and a great metro read). I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has the slightest interest in (or enjoys drinking) wine. This is an unpretentious look at how wines are made, enjoyed, sold, drunk, etc. It always made me want to pour myself a glass -- so make sure you have a bottle of wine handy when you are reading this one.
