the sequal to less than zero, although it's really a collection of stories ellis wrote while still in college at camden. every chapter is told through the mind of a different narrator. vampires show up towards the end, whether to save or destroy the novel, a debatable point. but otherwise, filled with the same do-nothing, have-everything lifestyle of southern California teens addicted to sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll.

Decided to read the first couple of books since my mom likes them and has some of her newer ones on CD. Good story very CSI and very dated. Cornwell wrote this in 1990 and you can tell with all the "technical" terms, such as DNA Testing, Modem, like other reviewers I had to keep in mind when it was written cause all the explanations of the Tech stuff was monotonous. But I am reading the next one so I would recommend it.

This book was much more hopeful and happy. I loved how it ended, and was thrilled to be reading something more uplifting than the first two.

I bought this for a 5 hour plane ride, but once I started it the night before I couldn't put it down. It wasn't that it was so well written (it wasn't bad, but it could be better), but you can feel the author's honesty at coming to terms with her own life while working to save the life of an animal she loves. Uplifting and heartbreaking in one.

It behooves anyone in comedy to read this book. This stuff is gold! "Soft-palmed, sponge-bellied city sluggard! I shall pound him into clay!" "Not for all the honey in the hive, lady!" "I'd rather play dice with a handful of scorpions... Being loved by you is rather like being struck by masonry falling off a high building, isn't it?"

OK, now don't get me wrong. I love David Sedaris. Everytime I hear him on This American Life he leaves me laughing. However, reading his stories with out his voice, to me, came across as boring and somewhat whiney. I won't be buying anymore of his books. Maybe I'll try an audio book.

This book had me guessing the entire time. Did Nora die? Did Patch die? Is Jules really gone? Will Miss Greene come back?

I'm not impressed with the blurb, since "absured" isn't a word, but funny is always good. Let's just hope that the editor for this book actually knows what they're doing.
