"Well, the problems is, it's not easy for me to think of ways to improve myself because I'm already pretty much on of the best people I know." I have not read book one or two of this series, and it is the first Diary of a Wimpy Kid book I read. I was reading this with the student I tutor who chose this book to read. It was a new reading genre to me because I rarely read books with visuals. However, I thought the graphics were a nice touch to visually bring out what was being depicted through words. The pictures did not just provide a nice visual, but it was a part of the story. The story itself was a cute story of Greg getting through a particular part of his adolescent years, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is in for an funny, interesting read. Although there is not anything to challenge the book being taught, I would have to find a creative way to incorporate the book into the curriculum. (Maybe use this novel when learning about diaries?) I would target a middle school audience if I could think of a way to teach it. However, because of the simplicity of the book, I do not know how effective this book could be as a whole class novel. However, I would recommend this book to reluctant readers. It is a good book to capture interest in reading. It probably does not hurt that there are movies about this series.

Excellent honest account of the tenacious hold both anorexia and OCD have. Written by an English mother and daughter it is refreshingly lacking in any so-called "expert" opinions and advice. Simply the details of Alice's illness and the bond forged with her mother as she endeavors to reclaim her daughter from an eating disorders grasp. In the end, Alice is not cured but has gained enough of a recovery to enter medical school.

This was good read. It was a story of a warrior who is a bastard and falls in love with the daughter of a rich cheiftain. Then he believes that she betrayed him and his clan and leaves her. After 10 years he returns to find that she is widowed with two children. He has returned to prove his innocence in a crime he did not commit. She can not help him without endangering her son. But it turns out that her son is also his son and they have to overcome all these issues and more.
