rats in the meat was the least of my concerns while reading this book. i understand the meat industry reform that took place after this book was published but i was more appalled at the treatment of the workers. i guess that's the social worker in me.

I'm a terrible fangirl. I read up until Neil Gaiman's then skipped around a bit. The stories were ok but didn't make me wonder "and the what happened." Mission failed.

Warning: This review contains major spoilers and may be beneficial to you. Bloodrose was an addictive, exciting, and amazing 2012 read! I have to say Andrea Cremer creates and wrote the last book exceptionally well with amazing, memorable action, unforgettable characters, and emotions. I have previously love the previous books of Nightshade and was looking forward to Bloodrose since my disappointment with the ending of Wolfsbane. Bloodrose was such an amazing and a captivating read and I didn't wanted to leave the world that Andrea Cremer wrote. It was indeed so memorable and so touching. Well, readers who have read the previous books will enjoy the final book of the Nightshade trilogy. I love the dashing and heartpounding adventures that the characters face in the story. The adventures with the elements and the final battle to defeat Bosque were simply wrote well in vivid details. I didn't really like Calla in the third book, to be honest. She knows that two guys love her and want her to be his mate, but she still didn't make a decision to choose any of them even though she did already. At first, she kiss and makes out with Ren in the beginning of the book, then she kiss Shay and sleeps with Shay. I mean what was that?! She said that she didn't make a decision to choose them, but I can see that she already did by sleeping with Shay. By then, I know Calla is going to choose Shay. Calla is not a really good character and I found myself disliking her more and more in this one. As well for the romance, I actually like it a little bit. I don't like the love triangle that Andrea Cremer creates for us readers. I must confessed that I really like Ren more than Shay. He has a strong personality and is more appealing and more charming than Shay. He deeply cares for her and will stands by her side and protect her until the very end. It's really sad to see how vulnerable he became with Calla. I also must say that Shay has really developed throughout the book. He was not the shy, fearful character that he was before. Shay was a mighty, fierce warrior who actually cared for Calla and will be there for her forever.(But there is something about Shay that I don't like. I don't know, but maybe his jealous, mean attitude to Ren? I really don't like how Cremer potrayed Shay. I mean he is fierce and sometimes kind in the book, but other than that, his jealous, possessive attitude towards to Ren is infuriating to me) I really don't like how this book turns out. I was very disappointed how Ren died in the end of the book. It was so devastating, touching, and heartbreaking to see Ren died. Many people on Goodreads that I know of are rooting for Ren and hoped that Ren will be with Calla forever, but sorry readers, that's not going to happen. I can see now that many readers will be disappointed with how the final book turns out. I really wonder why the author made the beloved and most respected love interest to die a fatal attack. I mean it is very pitiful and heartbreaking to read that dying scene and how Calla had to go through of. I really feel for her. I really do. ;( Now that the author had killed the love triangle, I now know that Calla will be with Shay. After reading the whole entire series, I am starting to have mixed feelings on it. I actually like the series, but I am not sure about it right now. I didn't like how this book turns out, but I am willing to give this book four stars for its engaging plot and how the writer potrayed such devastating emotions to make the readers feel. I can see that some of the characters had developed into stronger warriors. I like seeing the characters have their own, special happy endings. Connor and Adne ended up being together and Sabine and Ethan were together in the end. The happy ending made me content that my favorite characters will turn out just fine and will have possibilities in the future. It was well written and good to see how the final book of the Nightshade trilogy turns out.

Finished the series. An adventure of good against evil. The dark side was very believable and the strengths/gifts that the heroes and heroines were given to match up against it as well. I liked that the heroes had to do intense investigation and research to understand and battle their opponent.

Fun, easy read like the first in the series. Not that this is a bad thing but quite the opposite. This is better than the first. I love the little twists in the story that make you keep on guessing. I have a tendency to figure things out far too soon in these types of books but not with Dan Wells. I love books that you have to really read and get so in depth with the story line like The Count of Monte Cristo, but I also love books that you read just to have fun and let go and this is one of those books. Not sure what that says about me but it does say alot about the author that he can weave such a great story and make you love his characters no matter the flaws they have. After all don't we all have flaws and just want somebody to love us? OK, OK we may not all have the same kind of flaws that John does but that is all up to individual perceptions:)

This book was amazing!! It has Bella and Jacob's POV, so it's not just all Bella's stupidity. I love the twist of them having a real honeymoon and Bella getting pregnant! Stephenie really expresses Edward's emotions as well. The drama at the end with the Volturi as well, is thrilling and it's nice to know that Bella and Edward finally get the happy ending they deserve. I recomment it, as I do with the rest of the Saga.

Hmmmmmm .... really thick book, this one. It got great reviews from all over the place, and was the author's first novel. Very ambitious, I suppose, but why another vampire book? I mean, jeez. Haven't we all had enough of this? It was .... meh. OK. I figured out some stuff well before the ending, which ends up trying to be a kind of cliffhanger you don't even care about. I'd skip this one, folks.
