f I had Book 2 "Point Blank" on me after finishing this one, I would've jumped right into it. The book is entertaining, and it's great for reluctant readers, I'm sure I would've seen more bookstores and less Gamestops if I'd known about these as a kid. Alex is a lot like a young James Bond, except he's not thrilled about the ways of a spy and as Horowitz points out within the later pages of prose, he isn't exactly patriotic either. He wants to be normal, but he also wants answers for his uncle's death so that naturally pushes him into taking on another child's identity to infiltrate the home of a suspicious man who's donating countless of the most advanced computers (Stormbreaker) the world has ever seen to schools everywhere. The ending of this book was just a great scene though, I definitely see myself picking up "Point Blank" in the near future. Maybe "Skeleton Key" as well. Then maybe "Eagle Strike" if I can see past the red cover. (P.S: I love the color tones used on the covers.)

I found this book interesting because I'm from the area where the writer lives and where the story is set. I left immediately after I graduated from college because of the conservatism of the area and I felt that I could never have a happy life there. It's interesting to see another point of view.

I saw the movie first, which was truly great. It's different from the book. And better and I think that most people who love the movie, will hate the book. Well, I didn't hate it, because it was easy to read and at some points really funny, even though it's a bit dark sometimes. Cross found a good balance between shocking drama and humor. I didn't like Mona at all and I didn't understand her actions. I have more sympathy for Tamsin, however I would never befriend her in real life. She lies about the worst things but I have more understanding for her for some reason. I can't really explain why. It doesn't happen very often that I like the movie over the book, but with "My Summer of Love" that's just a fact.

Just when her parents are lobbying for an introduction, Logan appears, acting as though all the things she's made up about their relationship are true. Debra is sure he's a con man or something, but gradually admits to herself that he is perfect for her. Just as she's ready to admit her love to him, he forgets who she is--and so does her family. Debra is the only one who remembers their relationship, and he accuses her of stalking him. Now Debra has to win Logan over.

Although it was "interesting" to learn about about how supreme court judges run for office, I found this book too laden with details that didn't matter much to the plot. I have read EVERY single one of John Grisham's books, and have been loyal to him over the years, but I'm beginning to agree with others who say he is losing his touch on spinning a tale for intrigue and suspense.
