I listened to If I Stay and loved it and was very stoked to find out I would get a chance to review this book. I'm so glad I did. I loved this one just as much. There is something about Gayle's writing that tugs at my heartstrings. I read this book in one day. It was that good. The first book I grieved and cried for Mia and in this book my heart broke for Adam. I am glad I got to witness their story. I say witness because that is how it felt as I was reading it. I felt like I was eavesdropping on it but couldn't look away lol. I don't want to say too much for fear of giving stuff away so I'll just leave you with this thought. If you enjoyed If I stay, you will love Where She Went. If you haven't read If I Stay, then go get it and read it, so you can buy Where She Went when it releases.

What a sweet story in which to share a paramount lesson about *life*---that we find ours when we lose it for the sake of others. The main characters grew in depth and appeal as the narrator grew in his perception of the purpose of his life. Really cool storytelling. And I loved the Aussie language and colloquialisms--you can hear the dialogue in their accent. I was put off by the language, and I don't normally recommend ignoring offensive writing, and there is a lot of it in this book, but I thought this story was really important. Thanks to those who recommended this!

Like any NR book one knows what to expect and should not ask for more. If you are in the mood for a plain romance with no steam no extra fire power with a good story and good characters read this one. I found this book to be okay, what I should not have done is read the book in one go as the story of the h being afrid of men became old in Megan's story and I admit I did not do it justice.

Absolutely loved this story. Though some of the nautical terminology went way over my head, I was able to get the gist of it. Loved the characters of Stephen and Jack and all the crew aboard the brig Sophie, battle scenes were exciting, all the everyday duties of the crew were so well detailed I could picture them in my mind, descriptions of the ports of call were interesting and some of the dialogue made me chuckle. I am so glad I picked this audio up and will look for the next in the series for a peek of life on a ship during the Napoleonic Wars. This being said, I did not like the narrator. I got used to him, but that is not a good enough recommendation to seek out the other audios in this series he narrated. Will have to find another reader if possible.

This author is amazing and writes incredible sentences! I always go back and read the first chapter of a book after I'm done reading it because I never get everything from that chapter the first time through. You need to do that with this book. Its not a happy book though, its sort of a downer. I guess you can't ever look at anyone's life from afar and assume they are living a good life.
