That is when her mother told her she was raped by a vampire and 5 months later Cat was born. Since Cat found out she was half vampire she has been slaying any vampire she could get her hands on. She has always come out the victor, until Bones. Bones knows Cat is killing vampires but what he wants to know is who she is working for. He allows Cat to lure him out of the club and gets one up on her. When he finds out her secret that she is half vampire he realizes he can use her to his advantage, as he is tracking a vampire that is stealing young girls and selling them and he need bait that can handle themselves in a fight and he can’t use a vampire. As Bones and cat get closer to the culprit things get more and more intense and its likely they won’t be walking away from this job. Review: So yes, I succumbed to peer pressure and jumped on the Night Huntress band wagon and man am I glad I did! People were not exaggerating about how good it is. I know I’m only on the first book but it takes off running! It is go go go from the beginning and doesn’t let up. The characters are intense and dark and you will fall in love instantly. Bones will have you sigh with pleasure within minutes, a little scary and a whole lot of man with a delicious accent to boot. This series is technically not a romance and under the Urban Fantasy category but worry not my romantic friends there is a little something something, to keep you going. =) Pick up this series you will not be disappointed you will fly right through this book and onto the next. That’s where I’m heading now, back to the books!

My little 6 year old sis LOVES this book. She is addicted to Charlie and lola at the moment and she reads the books (well i read them for her because she can't read yet) and watches the shows! I ask her 'What is your favourite Charlie and Lola book?' and she says 'THE SNOW ONE!' ha ha ha. So I read it one day and actually liked it and i am 4 years older than her!

This book was not as exciting a mystery as the other books I've read in this series. I'd practically figured the whole "mystery" out before it was finally revealed in the very last pages.

Gary Soto is awesome. And he's married to a Japanese-American woman. And they live in Berkeley. What else is there to love? Buried Onions chronicles the story of Eddie, a kid who lives on the poor end of Fresno, trying to make a straight life for himself in a gang-ridden community. This book really appeals to my male students, especially the Latino males, because it talks about a world that they feel a connection to. Although it seems to be a depressing story, there are hints that there is a better world out there.

Even though this book is messy, it is amazing. This left me with the impression that artists were something like sacks. The only difference between the two is that when you get tangled up with a sack, you have to move it away with your hands; when you stumble over an artist, you kick him and he will move off by himself. We all know that in the past, when people killed a hog, they always inflated it first, and then used a primitive technique to remove its hair. There is also a saying that a dead hog is not afraid to be scalded by boiling water, which indicated stoicism. When we really had nothing to say, we would talk about how the crickets from Wan An public cemetery were pretty good at fighting because they fed on dead people's flesh. A person had to accomplish a few things in life and this was one of them. After that she didn't have deep relationships with other people. It's no fun doing the same things over and over. Things that really happen have incomparable charm. Time stops right at the instant that he is about to start reading but hasn't. He didn't especially dislike women, nor did he especially like men. He just hated ugly things and liked beautiful things. When you want to give love, you're a man; when you want to receive love, you're a woman. There is nothing more unimportant than whether you're a man or woman. He said, as long and you yearn to be loved, beauty will come when you beckon.
