Not every poem in here is perfect, but most of them are.

This is the fourth Richard Doetsch novel. "The Thieves of Darkness" is a continuation of "The Thieves of Heaven" and "The Thieves of Faith". Although they do not have to be read in order it is recommended. Super thief turned good guy, Michael St. Pierre, finds himself in love after his dies from cancer. Michael finds that his new love, KC, may be as good a thief as he was. After a short courtship KC tells Michael that she has to go on a business trip. Michael is asked to go on a dangerous mission to free his friend, Catholic priest, Simon, from a mountain top fortress. Not only does he find Simon, but KC has also been imprisoned there. After their escape, they find themselves in Istanbul trying to "steal" two valuable artifacts that could lead them to incalcuable treasure, but they also could be releasing an unheard of terror on the world. Michael and KC battle amongst themselves to "steal" the artifacts, but they must also battle, Iblis, a man who has no qualms about torturing and killing. The final battle takes place in a monastery high in the mountainous Kanchenjunga. "The Thieves of Darkness" is full of action, intrigue, mystery, and adventure. Be warned though, that the characters have a way of getting out of impossible situations, this includes the bad guys. At the conclusion of the novel when you think everything has been resolved, Richard Doetsch, throws in an epilogue, that definately will have Ibis coming back to haunt KC.

Maybe my favorite of the series. This is the only one involving Earth. Brittany, a six foot tall, blue collar construction worker with dreams of one day building her own house, falls for Dalden the moment she sees him. Dalden, son of Tedra from book 1 and brother of Shanelle from book 2, is on Earth trying to track down a criminal who intends on taking over the planet. A little ridiculous, but it was okay, with fewer truly infuriating scenes than the previous two books. I'm a strong feminist at heart, I guess--even though I did really enjoy this series, part of me was hoping for something more in this book. Seeing Brittany truly rebel against the male-dominated culture would have been really satisfying. The culture in question is just so ridiculously patriarchal that I would have liked for one woman in the series to genuinely reject it and make her domineering husband's life hell when he tries to work her round. I liked Dalden as a character, but I hated his culture more.

A story of the end of Afghanistan's monarchy, the fall and a child's perception of the events and the rise of the Taliban. Set in both present day US and Afghanistan. The entire book captured me from start to end. I definately recommend.

Filled with mood, mystery and exoticism, Interview is probably the best of the vampire bunch.

A kid's book that has a solid mystery at its heart.

Essential to help you understand Faulkner and his world.

Would have enjoyed this more if it had been my first introductory book into the world of metaphysics. Great little book to give to someone if they only read fiction and have never questioned reality.
