I have read many theories about the year 2012 and the Mayan calendar. I have also read many theories about the 'end times'. Nothing I had read previously prepared me for the unique approach to the end of time that this author takes. We're talking parallel universes where events occur simultaneously. We're talking about aliens from another planet/universe. Or are we the aliens and are they the true reality? Lot of universe-crossing in this story but I'll admit that it draws you in sort of like the unsuspecting fly being caught in a spider's web. If you like science fiction with a twist, if you are a fan of good vs. evil, if you like your aliens with a bit of humanity, then this book is for you. Recommended Instead: The Stand by Stephen King

this novel is my new favourite; it tore my heart apart and reconstructed it with tape. she crafts such characters in a gorgeous way, like neruda would write a poem to his love. it holds my heart with fragile hands, letting me understand heart break and falling in love and betrayal and guilt all wrapped up in 260 pages.

hot hot hot, finger licking, wrist tiring, sleep with a smile... This with Doc and Fluff and your wrist might get fractured. Went through a serious exploration re the boundaries of my sexuality in my late teens and early twenties. Read all I could get ahold of in this genre of S/M and in particular Lesbian S/M. Califia is a savvy agent of queer sex I must say. This book got me through many fantasy reenactments in my mind and served as an inspiration for quite a few real life activities.

i kinda forget what it says, but i think it's good to read to provide an alternative view of what many people think is the norm. i remember it being more like about the gospel than about dating. but i think the book does provide some good wisdom and helps you be more discerning. but it is hard to be authoritative about something the bible doesn't talk about. good for wisdom principles i guess.
