I had this as currently reading for over a year. I bought it to start training to do some jogging/running for the first time and then hurt my back. I've been battling that for the past year but hope to try again some day. I loved this book. I read most of it but not quite all of it. I thought it was very clear and had great instruction and program for beginners. I could walk for long distances but had never amped it up and did jogging or running. This was a great beginning point and would recommend it to anyone wanting to train to run for the first time.

Very nice addition to the series. Likable hero and heroine. The character of Olivia was very intriguing baring in mind her angelic background and waht she gave up in order to spend 2 weeks with Aeron. Loved the relationship between Olivia and Lysander.. The resolution of the problem at the end was intriguing even if I did have some issues - did he really need to lose his wings and his tattoos?

Ten Stars. The best combination of camp and despair I've ever read. Absolutely captures America in the 70s (and 80s and 90s and 2000s). Vampirism working perfectly as an expression of the wet gutted truth of what's left of American life. I am reposting this just to remind people to read it.

I've read way more of her books than I'd like to admit. I read all of her novels in High School even once I picked up on the fact that they all had the same basic plotline, just different names and places. The author certanly knows how to suck you in though.

I LOVE THIS BOOK...so much so that I wrote my thesis for my MA in English Literature on this book. Lewis masterfully retells the story of Cupid and Psyche through the eyes of one of the sisters left behind. By developing Psyche's life through Orual's filter, we see not only Orual's motivations in her treatment of Psyche, but also a clearer picture of how we ourselves tend to treat each other, and how we are often our own worst enemy.

Temple Grandin gives a fascinating account of what it's like to grow up coping with autism, from her early sense of isolation to her efforts to interpret the subtle social cues of others ( a difficult hurdle). Her inherent intelligence is clear, as is her cut and dry manner. She touches briefly on her relationship with animals and how she developed the squeeze machine after seeing a similar mechanism used on cattle.
