Well, I dropped the book on page 264. I gave it a good try but I felt like it was more of a preparation for the next book instead of a story here. I read it had good reviews so I tried to keep reading it but I probably missed something because I did not like it... If you don't mind reading a book where the story is very slow maybe you should give it a try... I got to say that I didn't have a special problem with the writting and I felt like i really know the main character so that was good :D

Ethan Hawke can write a semi decent chick lit piece from a guys perspective. I think having it from a guys POV is what actually made it interesting. However, sometimes it felt cliche, it was like sex and the city if Carrie had been male. Also, at many points you feel like you're getting pages out of Ethan Hawke's prepubescent-actor diary.

pretty craptacular. Picked it up because I wanted to read some historical fiction taking place in colonial Philadelphia. It turned into a guilty pleasure.

Interesting story and artwork. The old legend told to the boy on the first page was storytelling at it's best! Children may need help understanding what is really happening as most is imaginary or occurs in a dream.
