This book was okay. It was good enough, interesting enough. I don't think the author developed the characters enough for some of their decisions to make me believe it. But for the most part, it was a good, quick read and I'd recommend it.

It is quite useful in getting a person from a complete lack of knowledge about German to a moderate handling of the language. Likewise, the online workbook was quite helpful. Lastly the grammar sections were incredibly helpful. While not without its flaws, the book was quite capable of serving as an introduction to new German students.

I love how this 4th installment of The Dark Tower series blends fantasy and western. I usually hate the "western" genre, whether it's movies or books. But this is such a great addition to the series, and even the western part of the book is pulled off with fantasy and horror.

The writing was excellent - truly reminiscent of Jane Austen. The main heroine Ivy came from a family of 3 daughters, not too poor but not entirely well-to-do either. They were on the brink of poverty, barely scraping enough to live. Her father had been rendered incoherent due to some backfired magic that he had been meddling in. Okay, the last bit is obviously not Austen. I was disappointed with how the romance played out between Ivy, Dashton, and Mr. Quent. I had suspected that Ivy might become Mrs. Quent, but then Dashton entered the scene and stole both our hearts (hers and mine). I was more than disappointed when Ivy and Dashton did not end up together. I had been mildly thrown at the sudden change in perspective from third-person in Book 1 to first-person in Book 2. Beckett chooses to tell Book 2 through Ivy's eyes as she writes letters to her father about her time as governess. I cannot remember if I had read a previous book where perspectives suddenly change (I know when it changes from different first-persons, but never first-to-third or third-to-first person), but I know that the switch distracted me for this book. The story was incredibly slow. Both Fantasy Book Critic and OSC warn us about that the author takes a while to establish his characters and the world of Invarel. While enjoyable, I needed some more action! Everyone seemed to be standing around. I think this was the main reason I could not go on to finish. This book is excellent for teens struggling with self-confidence issues. I read this as a young adult and gave it to a young girl who felt out casted from her social group. A few years later she wrote to me and told me that this book helped her immensely as she struggled to figure out who she was and where she belonged. This is book was endearing for me to read as an adult, but I will definitely encourage all of my children to read it in their early teens. It teaches youth to focus more on being their selves than adhering to the social mores of cliques.

It was such a great book! I fell in love with it. I became angry every time she left, but part of me kept hoping that in the end they would be together. Redeeming Love was one of those books that you keep wanting to turn the page and not put the book down. Fabulous!!!!!

Rabin'in Soğan A.V. üzerine yazdığı yazıların% 90'ını seviyorum. Kulübü. Çok komik ve pop-kültür duyarlılıkları benimkine benziyor.
