Incredibly intense , incredibly interesting but still a little dissatisfactory. To say that Vishous has had a tough life would be a gross understatement, which makes the resolution of this story so very sad. I think they both deserved more.

This is the final book in a series of five books: The Last Jihad; The Last Days; The Ezekiel Option; The Copper Scroll; Dead Heat. The series of books deals with the earth's last days and surprising to some but not others, some of the events and circumstances have come to pass AFTER Rosenburg wrote the books. The whole series is edge of your seat reading.

I am so in love with love right now. This book was strangely captivating. I feel like I just fell in love - backward - somehow. Love in Delirium isn't just about the romantic love between two people. It's the love of friends, the love of hobbies, the love of the small details as well as the large. Despite all the love stuff there was a lot of nail biting action in this book. I really enjoyed it. As a mother I had a hard time coming to grips and accepting a few things, but I also really enjoyed this book as a mother. I'm certain I said "I love you" to my kids a few more times than normal last night, and this morning we danced extra long before we left for the day. It's a beautiful thing.

I saw this book got a really good review in the Washington Post, and it's hard to be objective because sometimes they are good and sometimes not so much. BUT-this was right on point! It's a book translated from Swedish, so there's a lot of (let's say) complicated names. The protagonist is a former hypnotist. He has made a promise to several people to never hypnotize again after an incident occurred earlier in his career with not very good results. However, he has friends in the police force and they call him because they come across a gruesome murder scene where a family has been brutally murdered and there is one person alive...but barely. Because the person is in a coma, the police cannot interview him. One of the police remembers the hypnotist and thinks he can get something from the victim under hypnosis about what happened. Reluctantly, he gives in and decides to hypnotize him and opens up a world of trouble. From here, the action picks up at such a rapid pace, I couldn't put the book down. We find out why the hypnotist stopped his work, rather abruptly. We also discover there was another family member that wasn't killed and wasn't at the scene. We find out that the hypnotist has troubles at home-his son has a blood disease, his wife will never forgive him for an affair (he may or may not have had) and she exacts revenge. And that doesn't even begin to cover half of it. Normally I'm not a fan of murder mysteries but this should not be classified as such. It's a fast read, some of the chapters are short and descriptive-I actually felt I was there at the climax or walking around parts of the city with the characters. My only was the author(s) get so focused on the small triangle of the case that they leave some minor characters hanging BUT I turned the last page looking for more. I gave the book 4 stars because of this final flaw with the characters but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

i'm reading this novel again currently, this time out loud (as bedtime reading for our new baby), and appreciating Le Guin's brilliance in new ways. I found it inspiring, but i hadn't realized just how much the story and the characters affected me the first time; now, two years later, the influence is obvious, and delightful. Sublime dialogue and luxuriously complex ideas on every page. It's a thoroughly thought-provoking (and sometimes surprisingly[?:] moving) sci-fi parable about the struggle, and the hope, for a just society — and the difficulty of determining what that truly means — and the dangers of being mistaken about such things...

I know everyone has their own style with babies & toddlers, and I'm a firm believer in skimming through different methods until you find what works for you and your child. There were definitely some points in this book that I really liked, and that have worked for us.
